MICC highlights renewed small business innovation authority

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Eustis, Virginia team gathers for a group photo May 6, 2026, after participating in a virtual training session led by David Clark, division chief and contracting officer with Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Eustis. Brig. Gen. Freddy Adams, commanding general for MICC, directed Clark to host the training that instructed over 320 MICC personnel on ways MICC contracting professionals may capitalize on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs in support of MICC mission partners.

The reauthorization of two federal small business innovation programs is expected to strengthen how the Mission and Installation Contracting Command delivers emerging technology, shortens procurement timelines and expands opportunities for industry partners supporting Army readiness.
