PIT maintains a strategic calendar of innovation events, demos, and field tests across its portfolio. Our team can support unclassified reporting and visibility efforts to showcase impact, build traction, and strengthen partnerships, while respecting operational sensitivities.

While PIT itself does not issue direct funding calls, it incorporates programs that do. PIT also helps shape co-investment opportunities with venture capital and other partners.

Disruptive technology refers to innovations that fundamentally change how missions are executed, or capabilities are delivered. These technologies often outperform legacy systems, create new operational advantages, or redefine strategic possibilities.

The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) includes the network of private-sector companies, manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers that support national defense. This ecosystem spans large defense contractors, small businesses, and specialized firms that produce everything from advanced weapon systems to secure software.

Technology transition refers to the process of moving a solution from development or prototyping into operational use, typically through integration into a Program of Record or direct fielding. It’s the critical step where innovation becomes capability.

PIT prioritizes technologies aligned with Army modernization areas such as AI, autonomy, advanced manufacturing, energy, biotech, data analytics, and secure communications. Dual-use solutions with commercial viability and military relevance are especially encouraged.
